Saskatoon doctor prepares to treat hurricane victims in Florida

Canadian Colorectal Fellow, Sheev Dattani, reports on preparing for Hurricane Irma as a first for him. Dr. Dattani has joined a team of surgeons and OR support staff at Florida Hospital Tampa who are available during the storm to assist with hurricane victims.

Lunch and Learns Offer Education to Hospital Staff

On February 9, 2017, Dr. Haane Massarotti spoke at Florida Hospital Tampa on “Pelvic Floor Disorders in Colon and Rectal Surgery.” Florida Hospital Tampa holds monthly lunch and learns at the hospital to provide our staff an educational seminar on important health topics. Dr. Haane Massarotti is a Colon and Rectal Surgeon at the Digestive Health Institute at Florida Hospital Tampa. She discussed the evaluation, diagnosis and management of common pelvic floor disorders such as constipation, fecal incontinence and rectal prolapse. Dr. Massarotti also discussed various surgical options that are available to patients.

Raising Awareness for Colon Cancer: The Undy Run 2017

The Team for the Advanced Center for Colorectal Surgery at Florida Hospital Tampa came together for a worthy cause on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Dr. Allen Chudzinski and Dr. Haane Massarotti joined together with the Colon Cancer Alliance and a number of local organizations to raise money to support colon cancer research and awareness. The event raises money to support outreach and education for colon cancer.
